I was using the words I’d heard Sean say.

He responded,

I see where you’re headed. Hey, let’s stop there. Thank you so very much for telling me. I am so proud of you right now. And although I have no clue what you must have gone through, just know, I’m with you. And I love you so very much. I know that was so very hard to tell me.

I wondered whether I had doomed us all.

Me: I have a request.

Sean: Anything.

Me: Please don’t talk to anyone else about this. My family already knows. But please don’t talk to them about it either.

Sean: It’ll stay here, sweetheart.

Me: I’ll understand if you need to know more someday. I barely told you anything except there was something to know. And that was the part that was killing me slowly.

Sean: Hey, you’re still standing. Breathe.

Me: I love you, Sean Fisher.

Sean: To the ends of the earth, I’m with you.
